Of all the issues in politics today, there is none that matches this one for ferocity. It causes the greatest divide in America. That is abortion. It makes people extremely angry on both sides. Many risk their lives performing abortions, while others risk their lives, or jail time, trying to prevent abortions. Abortion can be a source of tremendous relief and grief for all involved. Abortion, like divorce divides.

Those who are prochoice prefer to call it women's reproductive health and a right. But no matter what you call it, abortion takes the life of a real human being in its most innocent and defenseless stage of life. That said, I know this is an extremely difficult topic for people. Scientifically life begins at conception or fertilization

. That is a very hard pill for many people to swallow but it is true none the less. It is a brutal fact as discussed in the following video.

Ultrasound is a powerful technology that in most states is being kept from women seeking an abortion. For women who are certain to go through with the abortion, seeing a sonogram will only deepen the anguish, pain and hurt she already has. Many people just want to get it over with and move on with their lives. I am sympathetic. I am sorry for the tremendous pain people endure.

For others, an ultrasound shown to a prospective mother/parents will reveal a living growing human in her body. In many cases the mother choses to not go through with the abortion procedure. The sonogram video and pictures, even the sound of the heart beating can be explosively powerful. It was for me when my wife was expecting. Hearing the heartbeat of our daughter for the first time was a profound experience.

In the above video Harris mentions the abortion pill mifepristone (and misoprostol). By all accounts online it is extremely safe. Do not believe everything you hear.

The video below speaks to the issue of ectopic pregnancies. According to the data presented in the following video, as many as 1 in 80 pregnancies' are of ectopic in nature. This means there is a serious risk to the mother who takes the abortion pill without first getting an ultrasound. Knowing this, why would the medical community allow for such danger?

What is most egregious is the push for abortion is so great, that women's health is NEGLETED so as to prevent ultrasound from being used. Why do progressives not want women to have ultrasounds before abortions? It can cause emotional distress for those committed to having the abortion. But another reason is when women see the viability of their unborn child they often change their mind, and decide to keep the baby. While not specifically stated, having fewer abortions financially affects the organizations that provide the abortions.

Before having an abortion, 9 of the 35 states that allow abortions, require an ultrasound before an abortion. In 2024 these states require an ultrasound before an abortion takes place, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio, and South Carolina.
